Babel Project launched, yesterday, the virtual office of European Commissioner for Consumer Affairs, Meglena Kuneva, in Second Life. The event took place in Lisbon (room II, Fundação Calouste Gulbenkien) and had an audience of around 40 people (in RL and SL).
Paulo Casaca, Member of the European Parliament and regular user of Second Life for the past year and half, was there to present and welcome Commissioner Kuneva.
This is a project that we, in Babel, are extremely excited about. Commissioner Kuneva is not only an excellent communicator, but also a politician committed to dialogue with citizens. Soon, we will post a video of the event and, also, the speeches made by Babel’s Project representative, Ana Alves, and Commisioner Meglena Kuneva.
